Fleet Mechanic Position

Ultimate Staffing Services is currently seeking a skilled Fleet Mechanic to join a dynamic team in California. This role involves performing routine maintenance and major repairs on various fleet vehicles, including trucks and tankers, and requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and diagnostics. The ideal candidate will travel to various job sites and ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and major repairs on fleet vehicles, trucks, and tankers.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and brake system issues.
  • Conduct diesel engine inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
  • Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Travel to various job sites using a company-provided truck.
  • Provide occasional weekend support as needed.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, brakes, and diagnostics.
  • Must provide your own set of tools.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Bay Area, including to Sacramento.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.

Monday to Friday, 1st Shift

Competitive pay ranging from $27.00 to $35.00 per hour, based on experience.
